Trump Abruptly Pulled Out of Press Briefing by Secret Service Due to Shooting Near the White House

Minutes after President Donald Trump began his White House coronavirus briefing, a Secret Service interrupted to escort him out of the briefing room.

“Sir, we’re just going to have to step outside,” the agent said to Trump, adding, “Step outside.”

Watch the moment below:

Moments later, Trump returned to the podium to continue his press briefing. He addressed what had just transpired, “There was a shooting outside of the White House.”

“There was an actual shooting, and somebody’s been taken to the hospital,” he added.

At the time, Trump was unable to provide too many details about the shooting because he said he did not receive a briefing from the Secret Service.

Trump did say that someone was shot by the Secret Service.

He also said that the Secret Service took him to the Oval Office, not the bunker.

When asked if he was “rattled” by the incident, Trump responded, “I don’t know. Do I seem rattled?”
