Teen arrested for robbing son of NYPD counterterrorism head John Miller

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbing the 13-year-old son of NYPD Deputy Commissioner John Miller two days earlier near Central Park, sources said.

The suspected thief was also charged with criminal possession of stolen property stemming from the robbery outside a building on Central Park West near West 91st Street at about 1:45 p.m. Monday, law enforcement sources said.

Miller’s son was robbed of his wallet and cell phone by the suspect, who was riding a Citi Bike at the time, sources said.

Miller, the department’s head of counter-terrorism, was also a CBS News correspondent.
