Runner who slapped TV reporter’s butt arrested for sexual battery

The Georgia creep who admittedly slapped a TV news reporter on the behind while she was on-air covering a community foot race was arrested Friday for misdemeanor sexual battery.

Thomas Callaway, 43, was arrested days after TV news reporter Alex Bozarjian filed a police report against him on Wednesday, authorities said.

Bozarjian had been reporting live from the Savannah Bridge Run 10K Saturday when the alleged crime took place.

Footage of the incident shows a number of runners playfully waving at the camera as they run past the reporter.

Callaway, who works as a youth minister and Boy Scout leader, then runs up and smacks Bozarjian on the butt, the footage shows.

In obvious shock, she pauses her newscast for a few seconds, then continues speaking into the camera.

“To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me,” Bozarjian tweeted later on Saturday, alongside footage of the on-air assault.

“No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere!! Do better.”

Callaway admitted this week to being the jogger who slapped her, telling Inside Edition: “I got caught up in the moment.”

“I was getting ready to bring my hands up and wave to the camera to the audience; there was a misjudge in character and decision-making,” he added.

Sexual battery is punishable by up to one year in jail in Georgia.
