Melania Trump has no problem with president taunting Greta Thunberg

First Lady Melania Trump was furious when her 13-year-old son Barron was mentioned during an impeachment inquiry hearing, but she has no apparent problem with her husband Twitter-taunting 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg.

The two teens are different, the first lady noted through a spokesperson.

“He is a 13-year-old who wants and deserves privacy,” Melania’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said of Barron in an emailed statement on Friday — the day after Trump lashed out at Thunberg because Time magazine had named her “Person of the Year.”

Thunberg, meanwhile, is a public person “who travels the globe giving speeches.”

Trump had tweeted on Thursday that “Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend!” He also called it “ridiculous” that Time had honored her.

Still, Grisham also noted, “It is no secret that the president and first lady often communicate differently — as most married couples do.”
