Super Bowl 2020 in Miami is set. It’s a brand new episode of “Gang’s All Here” podcast with Brian Costello.
Coz opens the show addressing a few Jets items, including Winston Hill getting into the Hall of Fame, a defensive coach going elsewhere and looking at the Senior Bowl and its importance to the team.
Coz then brings in NY Post sports handicapper Dave Blezow and I to recap the AFC and NFC Championship games. We talk about the unique way the 49ers beat the Packers, 37-20, using a heavy rushing attack. I ask Coz and Blezow if they have seen teams do what the 49ers did, throwing the ball just eight times. Blezow dives into the Super Bowl LIV betting odds to open up and if this could end up being the first ever pick ’em Super Bowl. He looks at the high over/under number and if this game will end up being a shootout.
Randy Cross, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Packers, then joins the show. He talks about this 49ers team, if they will be in the Super Bowl for years to come, Joe Montana when he left the team and how odd it was seeing him in another uniform, the future of Tom Brady and the coaching redemption storyline between Kyle Shanahan and Andy Reid. Shanahan is going to hear “28-3” a few times over the next few weeks.
