Henry Cavill Movies and Shows to Watch After ‘Enola Homes’

Henry Cavill is putting his own twist on the classic Sherlock Holmes role in Netflix‘s new mystery film, Enola Holmes. Cavill stars alongside Sam Claflin as one of Enola Holmes’ (Millie Bobby Brown) older brothers, who both come home to help their sister search for their missing mother (Helena Bonham Carter).

The role is a departure from Cavill’s past few projects, where he’s played actual superheroes — including Superman, to name just one. As Decider’s Anna Menta points out, Cavill’s Sherlock Holmes isn’t the brash, confrontational detective we’ve come to know. Instead, the actor spins his character into a “soft, pure, cinnamon roll version” of the classic figure, and it’s a delight to watch.

If you fell in love with Cavill after watching Enola Holmes, you’re in luck, because there’s plenty more to the accomplished actor’s resume. Between his roles on The Witcher, The Tudors and Justice League, there’s a whole bunch to choose from, but we did the searching for you and compiled the ultimate streaming guide to Cavill’s shows and movies. Here’s where you can watch the rest of his work:

HENRY CAVILL MOVIES AND SHOWS ON NETFLIX:

Aside from the obvious Enola Holmes, there are plenty of other Cavill features on Netflix. In fact, they have the most shows and movies from the British actor out of any streaming platform. Here, you’ll find The Witcher, Cavill’s popular fantasy series where he stars as Geralt, a monster hunter. Netflix is also home to The Tudors, which Cavill starred in as Charles Brandon between 2007 and 2010. You’ll also find two of Cavill’s films on Netflix. Both the 2017 war drama Sand Castle and the behind-the-scenes doc Making The Witcher are available to stream now on the platform.

HENRY CAVILL MOVIES AND SHOWS ON HULU:

If you’re looking for some of Cavill’s action films, Hulu is your best bet. It’s home to Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the sixth installment in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible franchise. Cavill starred in the 2018 film as August Walker, a Special Activities Division operative who’s assigned to shadow Ethan Hunt, Cruise’s character. You can also stream The Cold Light of Day on Hulu, a 2012 action film that stars Cavill as Will Shaw, a business consultant who has to save his family from some dangerous enemies during a sailing trip in Spain.

HENRY CAVILL MOVIES AND SHOWS ON HBO MAX:

Superman fans, HBO Max has you covered. The streaming platform is home to both Justice League and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Cavill portrays Clark Kent/Superman in both films, making his debut as the iconic character in 2016’s Batman v Superman. And he hasn’t hung up the cape just yet — Cavill is set to reprise the role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League mini-series, which will debut in 2021 on HBO Max.

HENRY CAVILL MOVIES AND SHOWS ON PRIME VIDEO:

Like Hulu, Prime Video also offersMission: Impossible – Fallout, but it has a few other Cavill films you won’t find anywhere else. One Prime Video offering, I Capture the Castle, is a 2003 historical romance based on the 1948 novel by Dodie Smith. Cavill stars in the film as Stephen Colley, a handyman to the wealthy Mortmain family and a love interest to Cassandra Mortmain. Prime Video also counts Night Hunter as part of its extensive library. The 2018 thriller follows the capture of a predator who’s abducted multiple young women. Cavill plays Marshall, a detective on the case, but the stacked cast also includes Ben Kingsley, Alexandra Daddario and Stanley Tucci.
