Cowboys castoff Taco Charlton won’t have to wait for a revenge game

The Cowboys are expected to blow out the Dolphins on Sunday, but suddenly there’s reason to tune in.

Miami claimed defensive end Taco Charlton off waivers on Thursday, a day after Dallas released him, mocking him on his way out of the organization with a “Street Taco” headline on the Cowboys’ website.

With the teams facing off Sunday, Charlton won’t have to wait long for a revenge game.

The 2017 first-round pick never seemed to mesh with the Cowboys, and after being inactive the first two games of the season, Charlton tweeted for Dallas to “free me.” Charlton, who has four sacks and eight tackles for loss in 27 career games, will get his chance to show the Cowboys what they’re missing out on, though he’ll have his work cut out for him on a very bad Miami team that could go 0-16 this season.

Charlton’s quest will get some help from another former first-round pick aiming to make some noise in QB Josh Rosen, who will take over for Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starter following an 0-2 start.
