The film, which is now available to watch on Prime Video, Vudu and Google Play, explores the medicinal world of mushrooms and their contribution to life on Earth.

“We brought life to Earth,” Larson says in the opening scene of the doc. “You can’t see us, but we flourish all around you, everywhere, in everything … We are mushrooms.”

The documentary, which was directed by filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg, is also available to watch on Apple TV.

With cities like Ann Arbor, Mich., attempting to decriminalize psychedelics like mushrooms, a trip into the world of mushrooms may just be what the doctor ordered.
